Die AFS-Flüchtlingshilfe-Stiftung stellt eine Reihe von Kriterien an die Projekte die sie - meist gemeinsam mit Partnerorganisationen - umsetzt. Die folgende Übersicht soll auch bei der Orientierung für potentiell an einer Zusammenarbeit interessierte Organisationen helfen. 

Inhaltliche Kriterien:

1.      Das Projekt soll „besonders bedürftigen Flüchtlingen in Österreich oder im Ausland“ helfen.

2.      Das Projekt unterstützt „Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe“.

3.      Das Projekt hilft „wo sonst keine oder nur wenig Hilfe ankommt“.

4.      Das Projekt hilft „in Bereichen, die aktuell nur geringe / keine Aufmerksamkeit sonst auf sich ziehen“.

5.      Wenn mehrere Hilfsnotwendigkeiten bestehen, wird der medizinischen Hilfe der Vorzug gegeben.

6.      Das Projekt soll helfen „das Wissen um und das Bewusstsein über die Hintergründe und die Lebensumstände von Flüchtlingen zu verbessern“.

Formale Kriterien:

1.      Die Tätigkeit der Stiftung muss dem Zweck der Stiftung entsprechend immer in Österreich und im Ausland gegeben sein.

2.      Allfällige Kooperationspartner sind verlässlich und halten sich an abgestimmte Punkte / Vorgaben, bzw. stimmen allfällige Änderungen mit uns ab und liefern verlässlich Berichte und Bilder zur Berichterstattung und Kommunikation.

The AFS-Refugee-Aid-Foundation, provides a set of criteria for the project-work mainly together with the partner-organizations. The following overview is also intended to help orientation of an organization that is interested in cooperating.

Content Criteria:

1.      The project is aimed at “helping refugees with exceptional need in Austria and abroad”.

2.      The project supports “capacity building”.

3.      The project helps "where there is no other or only little other help".

4.      The project "helps in areas that have little or no attention”.

5.      If there are several needs, medical help will prevail.

6.      A project needs to support the aim to improve the knowledge and awareness of the background and the life situation of refugees.

Formal Criteria:

1.      The Foundation's projects always must run be according to the purpose of the Foundation.

2.      All cooperating partners are reliable and compliant with agreed points/specifications. They agree to coordinate any changes with us and provide reliable reports and images for reporting and communication.
